During our recent visit to New York for sightseeing, we found the hotel's location to be ideal - just a short walk away from iconic landmarks like Fifth Avenue and Rockefeller Center. The staff were friendly and always ready to assist with our inquiries. Despite the room feeling a bit warm at times due to the weather, the overall experience was comfortable, with spacious and clean accommodations. The abundance of dining options nearby made meal choices convenient, adding to our pleasant stay.

The hotel offers a great location, spacious rooms, and a helpful staff. the kitchenette facilities, clean rooms, and comfortable mattresses were superb. the availability of roll-away beds, on-site fitness and business centers, and lending umbrellas were thoughtful touches. Despite some minor issues like low shower pressure, the overall experience was fantastic.

Good staff and location, we loved this trendy boutique hotel. The room was spacious and with comfy beds. The breakfast had plenty of food, like cereal, pastries, breads, yogurt and muffins.

The breakfast had lots of options and yogurt, cereal, pastries, toast and muffins were excellent. Fantastic location, near restaurants and New York's main business district on the Upper East Side and do n't have to be in the craziness of busier neighborhoods, however the area was very basic.

San Carlos Hotel was a pleasant surprise. the friendly and responsive staff made sure all our needs were met. Having a fridge and microwave in the room was convenient. the location allowed us to easily access various attractions and the nearby grocery store was a plus.

This place was impeccably clean and had great staff and location. I was there for 5 nights and ate at attached restaurant for breakfast.

The location is amazing – everything close by! just wish street was less busy. The provided room amenities and large space exceeded our expectations. Breakfast was basic, but served its purpose. Staff was super friendly and helpful 👍.

We stayed in this property for 8 nights and we liked our choice. Convenient accommodation with perfect setting just next door to Rockefeller Center, Times Square, Theater district, and Park Avenue and a bus stop. Our room was warm and beautiful with 2 queen beds. Consistently courteous staff and attention to detail. Service was excellent too.

The breakfast had plenty of options, pastries, slices of fresh bread, cereal, yogurt and muffins. The room was elite and brand-new, complete with even an armchair and fridge, as for instance.

The hotel was ideal for sightseeing, subway close by, great convenience. The room was a cozy haven with neat kitchen facilities and comfy bedding, felt right at home. Occasionally, noise traveled through thin walls from upstairs, but didn't bother us much 🌟.

I had a wonderful stay at San Carlos Hotel in NYC. The two queen beds were a rare find in the city, and the price was just right. The staff was welcoming and helpful. The kitchenette was convenient, and the location was perfect for exploring the city. Highly recommend!

The location is really great, the subway is a block away and you can get to many places of interest in 10 to 25 minutes on foot. The food in the restaurant in the house is very good, but also only the food itself.

beds are quite rocky, almost like waterbeds. if you sleep in them alone, it's okay. two of you are not so great. air conditioning hums or is loud. that works better for a hotel of this category. here one should update to the latest technology. breakfast is a real mess, at least by european standards. so-called continental breakfast was included in the price and consisted of toast, butter, jam, coffee, orange juice, yogurt and cerials. whereby the products were of the cheap kind and choice was zero. paper cups or plastic cups are obviously standard. tables are too small and shaky. 3 out of 10 points.

The location, the size of the room (perfect for 5!), the comfort of the bedding, cleanliness and very quiet...which was very appreciable.

The kitchen equipment is very limited. It is not possible to cook. In addition, 4 plates, cutlery and glasses, etc. while we were 5...a little surprising and unsatisfactory!

Delightful staff, unbeatable location very close to the subway as well as Rockefeller Center, Times Square, Theater district. Although the whole experience was such great, the bed in our room was very old.

The bathroom was a little small and Wi-Fi was very poor.

Everything was perfect, had a just perfect stay in an extremely comfortable room. The staff were top-class and knowledgeable, were waiting for us in the nice lobby. The room was huge with a king bed and had coffee and so many space.

Upon arrival, I found the second floor business lounge to be a great spot for my work. The suite was spacious and comfortable, complete with a pullout sofa for friends. The location was ideal for exploring top dining spots just steps away. The views of Central Park were a highlight, and the vibrant restaurant adjacent to the property served up a fusion of Indian, Chinese, and Mogul flavors. The friendly staff made my stay enjoyable, offering helpful tips for navigating the city. Plus, being so close to fabulous shopping options on Fifth Avenue was a bonus—I may have indulged a bit too much! A great stay overall!

My friends and I had an epic time in NYC and the hotel was lit! The location was mad dope, we walked to Central Park and then hit up the Rockefeller Center. The staff was chill and the room was cozy, plus the turn-down service made us feel VIP.

Would've been sick if the hotel had a cool hangout spot for young peeps, like a rooftop bar or game room.

spacious rooms with small kitchenette. especially in winter time to rest and warm up really recommendable. location is very good, you can reach everything in midtown on foot. internet.

we had a little bad luck with the location of our room. due to the fact that we were only accommodated on the 3rd floor and windows of our room were small, one could almost not perceive any daylight. moreover, fitness room was right next door, thing that occasionally led to a small noise pollution. i recommend to insist on rooms in the upper floors. breakfast offer is very small and one has to put the few goods (typically american) on plastic dishes. breakfast room is also completely undersized. therefore we always had breakfast outside.

the room with the mini kitchenette was so helpful and a money saver. it was super clean and comfy with the two queen sized beds. the location was just perfect - close to everything and an easy walk to Times Square. the hotel staff were so friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. victor sorted us out with a fixed price taxi ride to JFK in a lovely big SUV.

Being a regular guest, I revisited this hotel and enjoyed the spacious room, comfy bed, and convenient location near Central Park. The shower pressure was low initially, but after a room change, we had a lovely stay. If only they had a hotel bar! Despite the slightly dated facilities, it's a great spot for families due to room size and location. Just be aware that room service is for linens, not food, and bathrooms lack fans. Staff were nice and the rooms clean. Good stay overall.

The hotel is ideally located to visit the center of NY on foot and very close to the subway line 6, large family room with breakfast area (coffee machine, microwave, fridge). Quite quiet ... Nice hotel service and staff.

The location of this hotel is perfect for exploring the city. It's easy to walk to many attractions and it's in a quiet area near the bustle of all the happenings in the city. It's also very close to Times Square and the subway, making it convenient for getting around. The rooms are spacious, with a small kitchenette, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. One guest even mentioned that the staff entertained their kids with magic tricks and coloring books.

Well located hotel near the 5 th avenue . Near subway station (50 street ). Room without any noise but backyard side (no nice view but comfortable sleep). Very nice staff. The suite at San Carlos Hotel was super cozy with a comfy queen bed and a pullout sofa in the living room. The 42-inch TV and spacious workstation were perfect for unwinding after a beach day.

We also loved the breakfast buffet at New York Luncheonette, which was more than sufficient with a variety of options to choose from.

Although our stay was fantastic overall, the decor in the lobby and rooms felt a bit dated, which could use a modern touch. the bath products had a strong "rosemary mint" scent that was not to our liking.

The hotel staff was excellent, especially Andy our bellhop. The rooms were clean and beautiful. The one bedroom suite and two queen suite were spacious and comfortable. The location was convenient, within walking distance of Times Square and Broadway or a short ride away. a great place to stay for a longer term business trip.

We loved staying here! The location is incredibly convenient, just a few blocks away from two different subway stops, so we could easily get anywhere in the city. Additionally, the staff was so friendly and helpful, whether we needed a recommendation for dinner or help with our luggage. The facilities were top-notch, with a fitness studio and outdoor swimming pool available for our use. The room had every amenity we could possibly need, from a kitchen with cookware and a microwave to a flat-screen TV and free wifi. We especially appreciated the dining restaurant and bar area, and the buffet breakfast had a great selection with the staff always replenishing supplies.

I recently stayed at San Carlos Hotel for a weekend getaway. The staff was great, going out of their way to accommodate our group and ensure we were close together. The beds were comfortable, including the sofa bed, and there were plenty of fluffy towels. The elevators were prompt and the housekeeping staff did a fantastic job cleaning our room while we were out. The location was excellent, with Times Square and all major tourist sites within walking distance. The hotel does not serve food, but there is an excellent Indian restaurant right next door and a sit-in diner across the street. The room with a mini kitchenette was a real money-saver and I highly recommend it.

As youngsters, we loved the comfy beds and luxurious suites. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, making us feel right at home. The central location was perfect, and being walking distance to attractions like Rockefeller Centre was a big plus. The gym was small but good, and the bathroom was spacious with a strong shower. a great experience!

We finally stayed at San Carlos Hotel and it was great! the staff were friendly and eager to help. the furniture may be older but it was clean and not beat up. Our room was huge, with a sitting area, desk, and kitchenette. the bed was really comfortable and the hotel was very quiet. the location was convenient, with subway, restaurants, and tourist attractions nearby. We didn't have time to check out the amenities, so we can't comment on those.

Rockefeller Centre was just a short walk from the hotel which was quite convenient. The room we stayed in was clean and spacious with comfortable beds. The maid service was not the best as we had requested a do not disturb sign but the maid still came in and cleaned the room without our permission.

Loved the 24/7 Business Lounge, perfect for checking my social media and pretending to be productive. The restaurant's chic ambience made me feel trendy while I devoured the delicious food. The spacious accommodations made me feel like a pampered queen with my plush robes and fancy Aveda products.
